Tremors of an earthquake of magnitude 4.1 were felt in Pune at 12:43 AM India time on 30 july 2008. The centre was at Satara in Maharashtra and parts of the state including Mumbai were shaken according to an official of the India Meteorological Department of Mumbai office. No casualties or damages have been reported.
There are predictions of earth shattering quakes for this year in India, although Maharashtra has nothing to worry about. According to noted astrologers Delhi and adjoining areas will suffer huge damages, loss of lives and property this year between the months of August and September. The Earthquake in Pune is perhaps a precursor to the catastrophe that is to come.
