Now we can compress large files into smaller ones. KGB Archiver , an open source compression tool like 7zip and UHARC with an unbelievably high compression rate. Unfortunately, in spite of its powerful compression rate, it has high hardware requirements (I recommend processor with 1,5GHz clock and 256MB of RAM as an essential minimum).
One of the advantages of KGB Archiver is also AES-256 encryption which is used to encrypt the archives. This is one of the strongest encryptions known for man.
Features :
- Explorer shell extension
- Multilanguage support: Arabic, German, Greek, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Serbian, Spanish, Ukrainian – download language pack here
- Up to 8% faster compression/decompression
- Now SFX archives run on any Windows or under WINE on Linux
- Lots of crashes fixed
So, no actual benchies then comparing it against rivalling progs & standards?
I’d like 7Zip and Rar please for the benchmarks.
its not gud to compress a part to such extent… it will take a lot of time to unzip or extract it!
Considering winzip and winrar where sometimes big files get corrupted when compressed, does this archiver gets any better than the former two? Because it is for everyone’s worry to have his very large file compressed for quiet some time, transported safely only to find out that it is corrupted?
It is not good as you say that, it takes a long time and compress as other one likeWinRAR, 7Zip.
does anyone know how to crack passwords on this?
