Google has just launched Goo.gl, the official Google URL shortener. Now you can easily create the short URLs that can be easily shared, tweeted, or emailed to friends.Google URL Shortener at goo.gl is a service that takes long URLs and squeezes them into fewer characters to make a link that is easier to share, tweet, or email to friends.

Google URL Shortener is currently available for Google products and not for broader consumer use.Well as we all know that Google always like to total domination in other services, they apparently want to dominate the URL Shortening Service too. Simple extension to let you use Goo.gl, Google’s URL shortener. After installation, right-click your Firefox toolbar, click “Customize”, and drag the Goo.gl button to a toolbar. Clicking it will make a goo.gl URL and copy it to your clipboard.
