Apple unveiled Safari 5, its latest Web browser, which it said opens pages faster than competing browsers, enables readers to scroll single and multi-page articles without additional content on the pages, and offers the choice of Google,  Yahoo or Microsoft’s Bing as a user’s preferred search engine. The newest version of Safari is primarily focused on performance and speed enhancements, including greater HTML5 support and faster browsing speeds with the Nitro JavaScript engine.
